Well it did not take long to find out that while Peter King is a respected Congressman and Chair of the House Homeland Security Committee he will not be the key policy maker in the US House of Representatives on that subject. That will be Hal Rogers Chairman of the full House Appropriations Committee. Lieberman and Collins in the Senate will try and make policy but as always they will always miss the bullseye and be active around the fringes of HS policy
Pronostication: HS and EM will be a huge issue in the 2012 elections but not because of Congressional activity. The STATES will have unilaterally surrendered their role in HS/EM and only the major metropolitan areas will still accompany the FEDS as players.
Demonstrating again that the Presidency is a goal only for those who should know better former Mayor of NYC RUDY will be running for President in 2012. WOW could someone from the NORTHEAST win for either party?
