Spring Floods May Set Some Records!

The snow pack was heavy in the Sierras and Rockies this winter. Also northern plains. So here is the best recent take on current flood events that I could find:

Looking like this long notice event [ posted on my blogs about severe flood threats in January] so everyone should be ready. It is with some irony the USACOE is blowing up its own levees. Levees of course are always exceeded by some event beyond their design or simply fail. No levee in history has ever NOT failed. But hey let’s blow some up.

Ever wonder why the Native American Mound Building Culture built mounds not levees?
